18001 is a standard and relates to each individual country's legislation with respect to lawful record keeping. I am not aware of any period of time that the standard relates to in keeping 18001 records. Do you mean reviews etc? If you are regularly audited by a third party, you should either make a management decision, show evidence of what you say you do is actual fact--------or ask the auditor for advice.
One way of recording is actually the annual review which looks at the previous year(s) to see if improvements etc etc have been achievable.
Hope that sheds some light.

It's what your company feels the norm is for retaining records i.e., five or ten years, then there's the regulatory reqmts of coshh where under certain parts you are reqd to retain for 40 years. Suggest if you have ISO9001 in place then duplicate similar retention periods - coshh excepted.
