Posted By Ian Clay1 Just a quck one. I hope. Do experienced employees with no formal qualifications have to have a formal qualification to check the condition of ladders and pass as fit or unfit?

Posted By Tony abc jprhdnMurphy There is very little legislation which relates to qualifications. Proof of competence can be exercised through experience knowledge and training, often confused with the term"qualification" and the cause of mayhem.

Posted By Dave Dowan Hi Ian I would say no as long as they have had training and can prove competence in using and inspecting ladders. We do thsi by an inhouse training course. Regards Dave
