Posted By Stephan I received thios email today. Have gas engineers finally gone over the edge? "The deep fryer has been condemned by corgi under legislation because of no ventilation canopy. Fumes can cause cancer".

Posted By CFT It is now a requirement to comply with BS-6173 to have the gas supply interlocked with both the extract and supply air systems, the fumes from certain oils have been known to be potentially carcinogenic as have many other fumes. They are quite right to condemn it with no extract and no linking from air to gas supply with automatic cut off included. CFT

Posted By Andy Petrie probably a bit of overkill there, burnt toast is carcinogenic but I doubt they condembed the toaster.
