Posted By Bill Morrison We have a forklift driver who we want to offer a job, but is unable to find his forklift licence. The company he originally did his training with are no longer in business. Is there any way of finding this Does anyone know if there is a central database where we would be able to trace this? Thanks Bill

Posted By The toecap There is, to the best of my knowledge, no such database. If you really want him to work for you. Get himm assessed on the premises and engage him in the CPCS scheme (or similar).Speak to CITB may be they have records.

Posted By David Whaley Bill, I know some of the accreditation bodies do keep records. But for this you would need to know who the FLT trainer was accredited by. Could be difficult. The easiest way would be to have him re-tested by an accredited trainer. If, as he claims, he has been trained and passed the tests, half a day would sort it out. I would never trust what a job applicant says, if he cannot produce the certificate. We would normally accept a certificate to start a job but have them re-tested ASAP. Without a current certificate do not let them on a truck. Hope this helps. David

Posted By William i think that RTITB keep a record of who has done the course for 3 years, and unless you notify you drop off the register.
