I am seeking a mechanical or other handling solution for rolls of lead in a builders providers warehouse. These rolls weigh between 23kg and 95 kg and are stacked on a pallet. Does anyone have a handling solution for such a product or know where more information can be sought?

Imagine they are beer kegs and treat them as such:-)
Seriously though the larger ones do need to be approached as if they are drums and handled in a similar manner. There are a number of drum grab attachments for FLTs around.

Declan,
might be worth a chat with some of your customers who have to handle these on site but Bobs suggestion seem sensible in a yard.

You can find relevant information in this authoritative, research-based guide to ergonomic manual handling: 'A Guide to Manual Materials Handling', Mital, Nicholson and Ayoub, publ by Taylor and Francis, 2nd ed., 1997
