Posted By Clare L Brass Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a risk assessment for a pregnant office worker - I've just started a new job and on my 2nd day was informed that a member of staff was pregnant. I've experience of the procedure but have just come from a warehousing/logistics background. I don't want to assume an office worker risk assessment is 'easier'. Can anyone help? I'm keen to set this in place asap. Thanks!

Posted By Jeff Lloyd Clare, I'd suggest getting hold of the publication 'New and expectant mothers at work' HSG122 from HSE Books. That will certainly help you with the risk assessment. In the meantime consider issues such as: Posture, manual handling, rest periods, violence, DSE, stress. Hope that helps you get started.

Posted By Adie Clare, I had to do a similar exercise for a production worker in my place of work. I used this PDF from the HSE to help me in my assessment. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg373.pdf Hope this helps.
