An employer was recently fined £179000.00 for failing to address violence at work issues against one of their employees.
Does anyone have any further information on this case and whom the employer was?

All help greatly appreciated

If you see the HSE's web site under enforcement action, you can search its database, by entering "breaches" and "violence" into the search. Currently they only have 3 prosecutions (what I can find). But, the fines were not that high. I can imagine this being related to the construction industry or perhaps a hospital or something.

Hi

I think the case you were looking for is Collins v First Quench Retailing Ltd, but it wasn't a fine it was a compensation payout which is why you won't be able to find it on the HSE website.

Try putting it in google (other search engines are available! ;-)) and see what you get.
