I have been asked to look at reducing the printed information that is sent out to new employees - H&S policy risk assessments etc etc.
Any advice as to what others organisations give out in terms of documentation (if anything)would be appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation

We have a safety policy issued at induction of 20 odd pages (shout if you want a copy for comparison) al double sided - saves on paper - plus excerpts from man hand and other presentations where applicable. We are in the process of revamping the coshh notes to hopefully a folder mounted to the wall. Its then down to the operative to check the chemical themselves - no nose wiping just giving them credit to look after themselves.

Hope this helps.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to a reduced version, it is also doubling up as the handbook and I have called it the *cough* 'Pocket Policy & Employee Handbook'

The full policy is on every site, in every canteen and if anyone wants their own copy they are more than welcome. It is over a hundred pages long and me and my boss are the only ones that have ever read it, and that is only because we wrote it.

Not a problem if you don't mind waiting a little while as I will be submitting it as evidence. Once it is accepted and verified as my work you can have a gander.

I have marked this thread with a reminder so I'll mail you when it is sorted.
