Posted By Lukasz My MD today told me : HSE recommend removing fire extinguishers (from vehicles as I understood)and use them only if this is first aid case to extinguish persons... and also that for example police has removed them from their cars...
Can somebody just clarify cause it sound a bit...?
Is it law requirement to keep them in vehicles?

Posted By MP Grayson It maybe summit to do with the risk. Which is worst from these two examples?
1. Car catches fire, driver slows and all escape. Once the car stops it goes whoosh and there is nothing that you can do bar shove some marsh-mellows onto a stick and crack on with supper. Fire extinguisher is about as much use as a useless thing.
2. Car flips over several times at high speed and a 5kg metal dry powder thingy comes loose from its mountings and smacks every one on the temple.
