Hi All,

As a result of a recent change in reference (within a Local Authority), I find myself tasked with undertaking a programme of inspecting selected streetwork / roadwork schemes, carried out by our internal workforce.

Wondered if anyone would be kind enough to share any forms used to record such H&S inspections (under requirements of Chapter 8 & Safety at Street works and Road Works (Red Book))

Thanks in anticipation,

PC Chaps

" Red Book " available on-line at the DfT site:
http://www.dft.gov.uk/pg...tstreetworksandroadworks

Hard copies are published by the Stationery Office and can be bought on-line or ordered through bookshops.

FYI the red book is currently being revised, the new edition should be out Mid-Late 2009

Hi

I work for Wirral council, Operational Services, and we carry out site inspections on our highways using site inspection sheets. We do conform to the red book- chapter 8 . There is a chapter 8 section on the form.It is quite simple and is a tick box system with space to add below if you need it. I will attach the form for you to look at if it helps, you could just tailor it to suit yourself. Hope its usefull

Regards
Michelle @ Wirral
