Hi all

I work for a Local Authority who undertakes litter picking and grass cutting along various roads in the District.

Can anyone advise on the training requirements for operatives and supervisors (having researched this so far I am getting conflicting information).

Is it a requirement that a supervisor be qualified to City and Guilds Unit 10 - Monitoring Signing, Lighting and Guarding OR to LANTRA sector scheme 12D - Registered Lead Traffic Management Operative.

In addition should operatives be qualified to City and Guilds unit 2 - Signing, Lighting and Guarding OR LANTRA sector scheme 12A/B/D - High Speed Traffic management Operative

Some sources of advice have suggested C+G, some Lantra, others say run an in house course, others say train the supervisers but operatives do not need it.

Thanks

Steve

You are not required to hold any Streetworks qualifications such as unit 002/010 for signing and guarding.

The more appropriate course is module T1 of Sector Scheme 12D for moving and mobile works on the highway.
