As is common with many organisations today there are many people who use a BlackBerry. Has anyone seen any advice or guidelines on the subject, other than the usual common sense of not using for too long without taking a break etc?

Look forward to your responses

It doesn't come under DSE regs or anything like that, if that's what you mean.

Like any phone or similar, obviously not a good idea whilst driving or operating machinery. Otherwise down to individual sense I would imagine. Oh, and security, not wandering round using it in dodgy places.

I advocate spending more time on the major hazards, unless the old radiation risk comes back to haunt us.

Best advice I can provide is turn the thing off when not at work! Not only are they addictive but they are also seriously anti-social at a barbecue.

I don't have the reference at the moment but there was a report of a case of carpal tunnel syndrome as a result of excessive use of a Blackberry.
