Posted By Jean Hi there, I am looking for a course provider for Risk Management on the Board - the person who is interested is the trustee risk champion. This would be in London. Can anyone out there advise me. They can attend up to a two day course. There knowledge is limited, but they are very enthusiastic
Many thanks
Jean

Posted By Lilian McCartney Hi Jean,
I believe there's a Safety for Senior Executive course from IOSH. IOSH website would have a list of providers in your area.

Posted By GeoffB4 trustee risk champion?
Is that the same as the Trustee responsible for H&S?

Posted By Glyn Atkinson Sounds more like the silent bank manager who is trustee for the major shareholder's board interests ie - the financial house.
Don't knock someone's eagerness to learn properly - makes a nice change to hear of this type of voluntary safety need for training.

Posted By GeoffB4 Try not to be so sensitive. I was interested simply because we've just taken on a job that has a board of trustees, and I hadn't heard that title before.

Posted By Jean Hi all Thank you to all of you who emailed me direct. I've made my recommendation based on previous experience of attending courses. I'm hoping that the organisation that I am working to will accept them.
No, health and safety is not the same as risk management. I would say that health and safety forms one arm of risk management, finance another, marketing etc. etc.
