Does anybody have an management system audit checklist that intergrates the requirements of both OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001?

I know it is not hard to create one but before I spend the time I thought I would ask!!

Hi all

I'm afriad this is going to be tricky. I am unable to tell you anything about myself or what I do, even when I'm offering free support and advice, because I'm told that even mentioning my job title is advertising (or at least I think it is - I did e mail IOSH and ask for some support and clarification last month but got no response).

SO please bear with me if this explanation seems convoluted and inscrutable - you will have to read between the lines.

Basically, my scored integrated audit took me many months to develop and is a considerable commercial asset in my line of work....... So I am not going to just give it away. When I posted in response to the thread I thought I could help by providing pointers and pitfalls to support people develop their own audit checklist. I was waiting for the specific questions to pour in. I am only too happy to provide that sort of support on this forum to my fellow professionals. I am frequently very grateful for receiving similar support myself.

As for those of you who feel you have not had responses from me fast enough - again because of the nature of my work I am away quite a lot and not always able to get online - my apologies. I also work very long hours indeed. I have tried to respond to everyone who has e mailed me directly - but there have been an awful lot of you so I may well have missed a few - again apologies.

I am now not going to keep responding to requests to just send the scored audit - but I will respond to anyone who is developing an audit pro forma and would like some advice on matters such as weighting, layout, design and content.

I am very sorry if I got people's hopes up - that was not my intention. I am relatively new to the forum and it never occured to me for a moment that this would happen. As I say I will gladly share my experience developing the audit with with you all - just not the completed document itself. Sorry guys.

Lisa..

Hi Lisa

I wholeheartedly support your recent post. Helping people learn is fine; just giving them the tool without there being any understanding of how to devise & use the tool by the recipient is simply unacceptable; & consequently leads to inappropriate use of the tool.

The responses by many on this thread really show some of the problems with this forum. I am wholeheartedly with Lisa and Frank over this. The guidance to the standards provides more than enough information to produce a cross referenced matrix and ultimately an intergrated scorable checklist for audits. Even then one will have to make adaptations on any particular audit.

The production of the documents does take time and the author makes significant cost investment in doing so. The information is thus a saleable resource.
