Posted By P.Friend Hi, I am considering relocating for a while to the Netherlands where I will be carrying out site work using my own 110v power tools from the UK. I know that the sites over there are all 240v . Providing that I use my normal 240v - 110v stepdown transformer fitted with a European plug will my tools work as they do here in the UK off a 240v supply or are there other differences too with the Dutch supply that I must take into account as well such as the cycle? Is there any way that the transformer or the tools may be damaged by the supply there ? Thanks in advance.

Posted By Alan Haynes It should be ok - voltage is probably about 220V - 230V, and cycles should be 50/sec
