Posted By Lajoni. Could anyone advise me if when shipping dangerous goods by sea....if in Limited Quantities can UN1263..PGIII..FP 23..PAINT..CLASS 3 (paint pencil) UN1950..FLAMMABLE AEROSOL..CLASS 2.1 (spray paint) I would normally send them on separately containers but just wondered when in Ltd Qty if the were exempt from any segregation ruling...I do have the IMDG books but would appreciate your advice Many thanks

Posted By Pez Hargreaves Yes, if the UN 1950 is under 1000ml it can be transported under LTQ QTY with UN 1263, and the segregation rules do not apply.

Posted By Pez Hargreaves I will have to look at my books, I don't think it would be a problem as under ADR this UN Number does not come under the regulations. However as you are no doubt aware the IMDG Refs are slightly more stingent, I will check on Monday for you don't do the weekend thing.

Posted By Lajoni. Thank you very much I am responsible for preparing the documentation for dangerous goods being shipped by road/sea and air throughout the world, the USA only for the past 6 weeks and it would help us enormously if class 3 and 2.2 could be shipped together by sea as we do for air. These damper assys/shock absorbers have caused alot of extra work and I am in the midst of trying to prove they are not hazardous and have sent a fire test report to the CAA but don't hold out much hope.... but it would help greatly if we could ship them with the ltd qty class 3 Thanks again for your help
