Can anyone point me in the right direction of any commissioning checklists (for H&S) that may be available?
My dillema is this:- Have recently (4 months) ago started with new company who have been moving into a new factory. This new, purpose-built facility has 90% new process equipment, designed and built from new.
To date, very little H&S validation has been involved within the commissioning stages. We're now attempting to rectify this - hence my request.
I'm looking at something like a design/commissioning review document, or equivalent. Any ideas?

Hi Peter,
Not sure what you mean by H&S engineering commissioning checklist but:
Firstly, if as you say, 90% of the machinery is new then you should establish if it is CE marked.
Secondly, As the end user you should carry out a PUWER inspection (reg.6) before it is put into service for the first time

What do you mean by process plant?
The CIBSE Guide is very good for HVAC plant.
There is an IChemE guide about "Process Plant
Commissioning", 2nd Edition by David Horsley £39.50 ISBN 978 0 85295 398 3 1998, 115 pages, softback
According to the IChemE, the handbook is ideal for the non-specialist, providing advice and guidance on how to set about the problem of commissioning a new plant or a modifcation to an existing plant. The title also addresses possible problems during commissioning.
