Posted By Ashley Williams Hi all, hopefully in interesting discussion point. I read a letter from a Fire service today stating they had powers under the following: Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety)Order 2005 and interestingly the HASAWA as well as sections 19, 20, 21, 23 and 25 of the Construction (health safety and welfare) regulations. Any idea where their HASAW powers come from as I understood they only had them under relevant statutory provisions which were the old Fire Precautions Act and the workplace (fire Safety) Regulations? As both were repealed by the RRFSO in aticle 53(2) do they actually have the powers of inspectors? Ash

Posted By Nicholas Williams The Construction (Health Safety and Welfare) Regs 1996 were revoked by CDM 2007. The powers of Fire Inspectors and employees of Fire Authorities authorised by Inspectors are detailed in Section 26, 27 and 28 of the RRO 2005 Nick
