Hi Fornhelper
Is there a particular reason the supplier has to be in Scotland?
These are in Northampton, (I know Northampton is not anywhere near Scotland).

Thanks for responses.
Reason for a 'local supplier' is that we may also be looking for training to be included as part of any purchase, so the closer the supplier the more likelihood of training being provided at a reasonable cost (or free of charge if I can persuade them!!)

We use the skipads here in Fife Coucil. The supplier was Hospital Aids who provided some trainig in their use. However, the biggest MH risk were during the transfer of the patient/casualty to the skipad. Our SW Manual HAndling Team carried out a lot of work in developing techniques and have now commenced training care staff to safely transfer and evacuate.

Thanks Renny
I have been in contact with them as no joy with a supplier up here. They are sending out an 'intro pack' and have informed me that they are currently developing a training DVD for this type of equipment so should be able to carry out training 'in house'.
Cheers

The training on the use was straightforward. Just make sure you develop suitable techniques to get the people into the skipad. This is where we identified the highest risk.
