Posted By Ron Hunter In the first instance, if you have no intention of placing the finished assembly on the market, then you need not be concerned about compliance with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) or CE marking. If the above is not the case, then there is NO PRESUMPTION of compliance UNLESS there is a SPECIFIC harmonised standard for the finished assembly and it can be demonstrated that it has been built in compliance with that Standard. Posted By SteveD-M Michael Off the top of my head, the supply of machinery regulation 2008 are due in force Dec 29th. They include a section on partly completed machinery which forms the part of or to be incorporated in machinery to which the regulations apply. There are also some exemptions IF the requirements are met by compliance with another directive or regulation.
