Is this just a familiarity training to adjust from the counterbalance/reach trucks, or is this a specific course requiring a new certificate? My employer is under the impression that it is the former, and also understands that only those with a reach truck certificate can operate the combilift. Kind regard renownii

Posted By andy.c.66 additional basic training is required, and a cert of basic training issued, as the fork controls and the safety principles are the same a conversion course should be suitable for most operators with either reach or frontlift certificates. Andy

Posted By DKH what type of Combi are you referring to ??. if you are looking at a piece of equipment where the cab lifts with the forks then this would come under specific training,if you are talking about the articulated cb/reach type of equipment them familiarisation training will be required. talk to the company who is supplying the equipment they should be able to advise & offer the training required.
