I have 4 meetings a week, and in each one I need to begin with a safety moment.

Try asking your team for their experiences. You will be surprised what people have seen, done or are aware of.
The IOSH news releases are also useful if you can put them in perspective in relation to your workforce,

Safety Moment is normally used in the oil & gas sector.
At each meeting (progress, HSE, or any other type) someone (normally the HSE Manager or Representative) has to start the meeting with a safety moment which is a HSE talk, particularly not related to the meeting.
The safety moment will last for about 3 to 5 minutes and topics varies from Heat stress, head stroke, types of fire extinguishers or any general HSE topic in order to rise the awareness of the attendees.
In conclusion, a shorter and more direct version of a toolbox talk

We used to have safety moments when I was in the oil industry. We used to rotate the person who was to give the safety moment (at the HSE meetings) so it took the pressure off me to think of something.
You could see the panic stricken look on the face of the person who had to think of something as is does get difficult after and while and the whole 'safety moment' thing went a bit stale.
Not really for this weather but in the summer we had ones relating to outside work accidents like wearing your PPE to strim your grass and throwing out old sun block as it losses its protection after a while.
If in doubt I always managed to think of a health one as opposed to safety. Everyone seems to pick a safety topic.

I like to go around the table. Each manager talking for a couple of minutes about something they have achieved since last time. (don't let them talk about their problems. You will only find yourself having to solve it)

In my opinion, a 'safety moment' at the start of a meeting should be something personal recounted by one (or more) of the attendees... Ask for contributions from several of the attendees, and have a couple of your own (as a back-up, or to get the ball rolling) thought out before the meeting starts.
The aim is to highlight the 'human side' of safety, to emphasise that it's not just formal systems and procedures, it's personal.
Thus, at recent meetings, I have related various things from my own experience - from tripping on the public pavement on the way to work (trying to walk whilst asleep), through to the feelings still present when I recall a workplace fatality which occurred twenty seven years ago (relief and remorse in equal measure).
Have your Kids pointed to anything that you do that is dangerous (mine do - regularly!)? Did you see a driver behaving badly on the way to work (or did you behave badly)? Have you processed an accident form before the meeting, and how did it make you feel? Have you helped a wheelchair up some steps, and did you think about why the user needed a wheelchair? Have you spoken to any of the craftsmen about how well their PPE fits? Has your daughter recently bought a motorbike (and how did you feel about it?)
Anything which 'brings home' the personal responsibility message can be used.... especially if the person telling the moment can identify some learning points for the audience.
