Posted By Philip Roche Morning all, Second opinion on this if you can, With a pedestrian controlled tower crane , Is a slinger signaller required on the ground also ? I believe yes , however the driver is in control of the crane at the work area so should this not suffice.

Posted By al wood philip having been involved in sevral projects where pedestrian operated tower cranes have been used i can confrim that the operator can be both the slinger and the operator, however as the project develops it will be much better to use another slinger due to the logistics of the site and the amount of walking and trudging up and down stairs that a single slinger/operator would have to undertake. great piece of kit if you select the right one and you must select the right one! if you want to discuss these cranes further pleae contact me directly. al w
