The SHP has an article on a secret database that had a blacklist of workers, stating that:

Some of the biggest construction contractors in the UK have been revealed as subscribers to a covert database containing sensitive personal information on thousands of building workers.

The database had comments on workers who had raised health and safety issues, and had then been blacklisted.

What does this tell us about the real safety culture in these major construction companies? What are the safety implications for the construction industry if a worker raises an issue, only to be blacklisted?
What do you think that IOSH safety professions should be doing about it?
