Posted By Richard Hammer Great programme which started on evacuation and the cause of 'friendly fire syndrome' and peoples perception of risk. Then it followed deaths from falls of height, trips and slips. Seems like in the disaster at the twin towers, staff at Morgan Stanley who had regular fire drills had nearly all of the 800 staff escape unhurt. It took some staff members 20-40mins to react due to peer pressure/lack of knowledge of the escape stairs etc. A programme that IOSH should have been involved in with the media, an excellent way to justify why we do what we do and to educate peoples perception on risk......its all about life safety. Just a shame stuff like this is few and far between, and hardly has any involvement from what is meant to be our representatives... keep to your conkers IOSH.............

Posted By Yossarian The bits I saw were very good, especially the perception of risk (knife crime vs road safety) & the aircraft & ferry disasters. Definitely going to try and catch the first half that I missed.
