Hi Everyone,
Has anyone out there had experiences with calculating min/ max prep welds/ tack welds?
I have some information regarding calculating tack welds with a direct force. However, when preparing tacks for, lets say, tubular steelwork at different angles then the weld prep needs calculating.
Anyone had any experiences with this?
I have been looking for some guidance online and from the Welding Associations and HSE but no guidance is specific to this.

Carl I am an ex structural engineer and feel concerned that this is an area of such specialised knowledge that you should be taking specialist advice from a welding expert, structural engineer or mechanical engineer rather than via a H&S route
