Posted By DP Good morning - a request for some information plese from any DSE experts out there? Are hand held scanners covered in the regulations, with regards to free eye tests? I have read up on this and my interpretation is no - I appreciate they are not mentioned directly. Any help appreciated?

Posted By A Campbell DP, If you are talking about bar code type scanners then doubtful as far as I am aware. We have just introduced them here, although I wouldn't place them (here) as a user anyway with time spent in use. Some interesting info came up though about our model (not DSE related though) about radio frequency and pacemakers, class 2 non ionizing radiation etc

Posted By DP They are the ones A Campbell. I am pretty confident they are not and they come under the description of small screen information devices which are exempt. Just wanted a second opinion from the good folk on here.
