Posted By PL My client has made vast improvements in their safety performance and safety culture in the last year. I'd like them to see some recognition for the hard work they've put in and so would like them to achieve one of the safety awards either this or next year.
I know of the ROSPA and British Safety Council awards, but what other national or regional (North East) awards are out there?
TIA

Posted By Tuesday Hanley-Jones The SHP IOSH Awards have become one of the true highlights of the health and safety calendar. Practitioners and organisations for whom good health and safety is not only paramount but also fundamental to how they do their job, or run their business, can enter a range of categories, which cover industry-specific achievements, and individual and activity-related endeavour. This gives as many organisations and individuals as possible the chance to have their efforts to promote good health and safety practice recognised. Judges will look at the scale of the achievement and how well the initiative worked, rather than how much money or other resources were spent on it. The entry process for the 2009 SHP IOSH Awards will open on 2 April – and it’s free to apply –All the details are on the website http://www.shponline.co.uk/awards.asp
