Posted By Hayley McBride Hi all, I'm hoping somebody would be able to help me with a quick query. Basically the company I work for deliver training to unemployed people. Recently one of our clients informed us that he had been diagnosed with TB. Now he had been attending the teaching centre for a couple of months previous to his diagnosis, so the staff are now asking have they been at risk to contracting TB. I have never been in this situation before and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions how to deal with it. I presume it's not reportable as it was not one of our employees had the disease? Any thoughts very welcome. Thanks H

Posted By Bob Youel you should have identified this risk at the risk assessments stage and yes you can act at that time although the agency sending the people to you will try every scam there is not to provide you with info - all of which are spurious Cases of TB are rising and we should all be aware - and think of all the years of effort by our grandfathers and fathers etc to manage TB when all that effort is now being wasted!
