Posted By NJS Morning all As an Architectural practice we require all or employees to undertake CPD, those employees/directors who are RIBA are required to undertake 2 hours of RIBA certified Health abd Safety CPD per annum. My problem, i am having trouble finding RIBA certified "in-house" H&S seminars. Does anybody know of any? are they any good? NJS

Posted By griffiths May be able to help. My company offer in house RIBA core curriculum CPD for architects on CDM07. http://www.total-cdm.com/CaseStudies/ We focus on practical application rather than 'death by powerpoint' and encourage inhouse CDM workshops on your existing schemes. This therefore, includes a review of a practices in house procedures for CDM management and its integration into your design service (e.g via RIBA project stages) Alun Griffiths Total CDM Solutions

Posted By NJS Alun, thanks. I have been on your web site but cant find much info, a lot of the links are either old or not working. can you give me any indication of prices etc? In the current economic climate I'm expecting to have to beg and grovel to get the company purse opened.

Posted By Mike Webb NJS - I contacted RIBA with the same query and they actually recommended Total CDM. We used them for our in-house training for design staff. The course as a whole was excellent with the trainer able to answer all the 'difficult questions' that staff will typically come up with by using 'past experience' scenarios on projects large & small rather than simply re-itterating what the Reg's say - which anyone can do! Following this course, we used Total CDM again for CDM awareness for Commercial & Procurement staff. Highly recommended! Contact me if you wish to discuss further.
