Posted By deanc HI, I've recently been made aware that a few member of our staff wear an air fed mask while paint spraying. I'm lead to believe this will require FIT testing. Does anyone have any info on how to carry out a FIT test or some guidance on where I could find a standard form? Thanks

Posted By Adam Worth If only a few users it's worth contacting the manufacturers as they often provide a fit test service FOC! http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/fittesting.pdf I have used Moldex in the past who provided training and presentations as well!

Posted By John A Blease Hi Deanc, If the RPE you use is classed as "loose fitting", and it is in many paint spraying applications, then you do not need face fit tests. See section 10 of the HSE document noted in one of the earlier posts. "The performance of loose fitting facepieces relies on sufficient airflow through the facepiece and is less dependent on a tight fit to the wearer's face and therefore do not require fit testing." Regards, John A Blease
