Posted By LBW Could anybody send me details for a supplier of numbered security tags for first aid boxs. I have 7 boxes which I check on a weekly basis and as you will appreciate takes up alot of time. I have searched everywhere for the small yellow tags with the serial number on which I used at previous employer but for the life of me I cannot find them. Thanks in advance.

Posted By LBW Thanks, google was one of my first points of call. There are plenty of security seals out there, however I am after the serial numbered tags so I can make a record of the checks. Just had a pm from a chap who has given me a supplier. Thanks Again

Posted By NJS Why do you want to seal the first aid boxes?

Posted By LBW NJS not sure you are humouring me on this one? It is not a case of sealing the boxes for security but merley having a seal that can be easily broken when the box is opened. Subsequently on my weekly inspection if the seal has not been broken then then there is no need to physically check the contents. Therefore checking 7 boxes will take me 10 minutes as oppossed to 1-2 hours per week.

Posted By Bob Shillabeer Be careful of the type of tag you use. Some indivduals have been know to gently prise the tag off take the stuff and gently replace the tag so it looks as if the box has not been touched. I know some of you will howl at this but it does happen.

Posted By LBW Bob, Yes I could very easily write on the tags, however I prefer the pre numbered version thanks!!!! So there are plenty of places to get the 'tell tale' tags.....thanks for the help on that one! For those who did send me information on suppliers via this forum and PM, many thanks I now have some on order.

Posted By Sean Fraser LBW, Can you email me the contacts you have been given, or post them here? I also thought of this some time back and had the same problem. I couldn't use standard cable ties as these need cut to be removed, but couldn't find a supplier of the beaded version that can be removed with relatively little force (like the tags on new clothes). If you have something that could do this I'd be obliged.

Posted By Merv Newman Sean, cable ties can be undone by judicious application of a small screwdriver. As demonstrated on Gardener's World a week or two back. Merv

Posted By STEPHEN81 I use a strip of paper, sticky on one side & with my signature and date on it, I then perforate it. Does the trick every time. Simple is best!

Posted By Ron Hunter Anyone else ever tried to open those smaller double-closure fiddly plastic injection-moulded boxes with a hand injury? LBW, you might want to check for blood trails along with your tell-tale!
