Posted By Sir Galahad I have a property (Old Factory) I need to demolish very near a rail track about 6m away from the track. I have not dealings with rail track before however they have asked for a BAPA can any body help? regards

Basically it means that they want to know how you are going to protect their asset whilst you dismantle the factory.
You want to look at any of the operations you will do. Will they affect the railway, e.g. machines fouling the railway, interruption of services i.e. electricity or gas, preventing individuals accessing the railway if fencing is dismantled. Even things such as temporary lighting can have an effect on train drivers as it might blind them at night, or cause them to misread rail signals.
Basically look at all your operations and services to see if they will affect the railway or not and if they do demonstrate how you will manage them.

Posted By Alan Nicholls Don't forget it will also include any replacement or reinstatement cost if you do by chance damage any Railway property; as part of the agreement.
