Posted By Stuff4blokes Scottyk, strictly speaking the answer to your question is (as so often) "it depends" The HSE webpage given in the previous link is guidance and comes from a very authoritative source, but remains just guidance. Your own assessment of risk should lead you to decide on the level of provision your workplace actually needs. If you decide that a sink with running fresh water is required, then you are setting the minimum standard which you must legally achieve. If you decide that all is required for your particular circumstances is a well-stocked first aid box and an Appointed Person to take charge etc then that is your required level. The guidance contains much useful information that will assist you in making your judgement but the risks are your risks. Is a sink/water useful in a first aid room? Most definitely.
