Hi

Thanks for the help ref: the Railway Detonators thread.

Could I leave this one over the weekend so I can come into it on Monday? ;-)

The regs in the title. I believe they are revoked, but what regulation(s) have taken over?

Many thanks

Ian

Ian

These have been replaced by the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres regulations 2002

However, you can still find guidance you need on HFL's in HSG 51, which is a very good ref.

DSEAR - as mentioned earlier are now the overarching Regulations for fire/explosion etc etc, however the old HSE guidance on storage, use spraying etc contains a lot of very good practice, which is actually better than the information in the DSEAR ACOPs and still relevant. See http://www.hse.gov.uk/fi...xplosion/information.htm

For LPG, the Liquid Petroleum Gas Association (LPGA) codes of practice are extremely useful, as have all the best (in a legal sense) practice for dealing with LPG.

I know you didn't actually ask for this guidance but I thought it might be useful for others checking out this thread

Cheers

Kate
