Posted By I. M. Twining Hi I'm after some advice regarding the documents etc that would be needed by someone setting up a day centre for adults with learning difficulties. A friend of mine is looking to start one (it will be more of a drop in centre to allow parents / carers time to themselves to shop or just have a break). The centre will only be open during the day for approx 6 hours and will be based in a local community centre. Other than the usual risk assessments, first aid arrangements, floor layouts for fire risks, insurances etc is there anything else they will need in place before they start? They have all the necessary qualifications to do the job but not the experience in setting up this sort of operation and my background is in construction. Any help or directions to applicable website would be appreciated.
