Posted By nrhannam Hi Please can someone help. My colleague is currently renting a large warehouse and in my opinion there is insufficient fire control measures in place (i.e. no fire alarm system, smoke detectors, push button alarms etc). I require clarification on the following: 1. Should a Fire Risk Assessment be carried out before the building was rented and does this responsibility fall upon the Landlord or tenant. 2. Is there any 'official' guidance available on the net? Any help appreciated Thanks in advance

Posted By Bob Youel you also need to appraise the letting agreement as the landlord may have off set many areas to the tenant!

Posted By Coshh Assessor Before the warehouse is let and after it is let are two different situations needing their own fire risk assessments - since what the tenant does in the warehouse will have a bearing on the fire risk.
