Posted By Stuie Hi (again); is there any reason (legal) why we could not let someone take away our empty gas bottles (propane and butane) that our suppliers will not take back (not theirs and dumped on us)? We have been made aware that the person that wants the bottles wants to cut them up!!! Morally I suppose we may have some duty but if someone wants to take them off our hands FOC where would we stand if they then spread their internals over a wide area? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

Posted By Peter Zunda Please, wahtever you do, don't give them to someone whom you know wants to cut them up, I've seen the after effects and they're not pleasant! More information on safe disposal is available here; http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/waste03.pdf http://www.uklpg.org/ans...29_cylinder%20return.pdf
