Posted By David Morgan Apart form the Highway Code, HASWA, Management regs, is there any other specific legislation relating to driving. More specifically, is there a definitive maximum time you can drive before taking a break. The vehicles in question are not fitted with tachometers.

Posted By SNS A google search gives many leads to ‘official’ and industry info: EU Regulation: http://eur-lex.europa.eu...0220060411en00010013.pdf VOSA http://www.vosa.gov.uk/v...der=dd&cq=&id=461330e11a OPSI: http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2005/20050639.htm Trade: http://www.g-forceemploy...ac713fd407187a095b2e2158 I would suggest that you contact a local LGV driving school, or Transport manager at a local company - some of it hinges on vehicle size, employed or self-employed. That you don't have tachographs may not mean that you are exempt. Its a minefield and in the event that it goes wrong VOSA tend to prosecute rather than advise. I have an LGV class C licence and it confuses me ... but it may become clearer when the 'professional driver CPC' is fully in operation. Regards, S
