Would any kind soul have a sample vehicle tail lift risk assessment that I could look at.
We are acquiring a 7.5 tonne flat bed with a tail lift and need to carry out a R/A for using the tail lift - I fully understand the R/A process and have looked on the HSE site about certain aspects of this piece of equipment.
We are also aware for the need to have the tail lift inspected annually under LOLER.
Operatives have all received training on the tail lift from the supplier.
I don't wish to copy some one else's R/A , just to look at how it has been approached by some one else.
Many Thanks in Advance for any useful information received

Think you are away with the RA.
Just one other point - carry out a PUWER risk assessment & look at your maintenance procedures.
For certain types of tail-lift (rope / chain operated) which I think you will have on a 7.5 tonne vehicle) it is very common for the safety brake not to operate due to being clogged up with muck from day to day operation. It is very important that you jetwash it a couple of times a week and spray it with a special foaming oil which cleans the mechanism.
I speak from experience.
Hope of help
Chris
