Good morning All
I am putting together some advice and warnings on the dangers of level crossings. Does anybody have anything useful i.e accident stats, pictures etc. I would be very grateful for anything you have as the information seems quite difficult to find.
Thank you in advance.

Look also at RAIB accident investigation reports - these have some great, if tragic, examples and give much background information to the rules & regs, best practice, practicalities etc.

You might also look at this site: http://www.tillyweb.biz/ The author is a former (retired) HM Principal Inspector of Railways responsible for Level Crossings.
Alternatively contact ORR (Office of Rail Regulation- includes the inspectors who regulate safety on the railway)- details here: http://www.rail-reg.gov.uk/server/show/nav.27 and they can put you in touch with appropriate Level Crossings people in the Rail Safety Directorate (the bit of ORR where the HM Inspectors of Railways sit). ORR inspectors and supporting staff do work with Network Rail and crossing users (although you do not say who your info is for).
Hope that helps.
