Posted By Paul I've recently bought a flat in a purpose built block, because I bought the flat I then became a member of the "Management Company"......this is different from the company that look after maintenance etc etc. In recent weeks I've been advised that the two directors of the "Management Company" (who also are directors/employees of the maintenance Company) are going to resign. It is required that at least two members (i.e. flat owners) of the company become directors (Unpaid). Does this mean that these Directors then have the liabilities in relation to H&S so much so lets say for arguments sake that a contractor falls off the roof due to some problem with the roof.........could the directors be prosecuted/be liable ? Most of the owners are saying "all I wanted was somewhere to live" not all these responsibility.
