Posted By Kevin Drew You need to consider engaging the services of a radiation protection adviser (RPA). The IRRs are not something that you want to let an idiot loose with. A google search with identify various companies that can provide this service, mine included. Kevin

Posted By John Donaldson CJM I would support what Kevin said. You really should consult a RPA if you have an X Ray generator. The RPA will be able to advise you if you should be registered with the HSE as a Radiation Employer and assess your generator. You should also consider if you are using any radiation sources such as level gauges which use Closed Sources as they will also have to be considered under IRR99 and also under the Radioactive Substances Act

Posted By Kevin Drew If you ask your RPA he will be able to tell you - he's an adviser after all.
