Posted By A Campbell Hi All, I have found a training/competence shortfall if use of pedestrian pallet trucks (not forklift). Is anyone aware of a training provider that is able to conduct an instructor type course for in house training as this sounds expensive to have individuals attend a course? Many Thanks Tony

Posted By Larry Why not put yourself on the course and train the others. Horses for courses and sensible risk management should kick in here. These are pallet trucks and not exactly rocket science. PS. My apologies if you work for NASA. I guess it would be then.

Posted By SNS Not rocket science, but I have seen people who have fingers missing through miss-handling them. Many providers include them in the manual handling course. Rgds, S

Posted By Larry Aaahhhh. Miss-read of post, naughty Larry. Just a long shot and you may have considered this, but, have you contacted the manufacturer. They may know a man who knows a man who can train you........ After all one would hope that when writing the course they at least contacted the manufacturers.

Posted By dwf76 I can highly recommend Mentor Training, we use pedestrian straddle truck, counterbalance trucks and reach trucks and had an employee attend their course to be able to train inhouse. We also intend to use them for some upcoming training for MEWP's as they charge by the day rather than by the individual.
