Hello - hoping someone with dangerous goods expertise can help.
Solvent is delivered onto our site by road tanker (vented, non pressure) from a supplier. I am wanting to ensure that the supplier holds the correct licences, train their drivers appropriately and maintain equipment but wanting to make sure I ask the right questions.
What questions do other people ask of suppliers of dangerous goods? Also do you ask for copies of documentation or is asking for the supplier to confirm that these things are in place adequate? How do you deal with any subcontracting issues?
Thanks in advance

If they transport DG ask to speak to their DGSA, as they are legally required to have one / access to one.
ADR Driving Licence for class carried
Safety equipment, torches , hi viz, drain covers, wheel chocks, PPE / RPE First Aid Eye wash, Fire extinguisher
Tremcard (instructions in writing)
Placarded dependant on mode of carriage (packages or packaging)
DG Consignment note etc
that's a starter for 10

Hi Mark,
I'm not sure if you are ISO 9001:2008 registered, but if you are tell them that it is a requirement of that standard (7.4.1) that as suppliers they are evaluated.
