Posted By Ian B. I came across this on a different safety site. IOSH is exploring the possibility of setting up a health and safety work experience programme. The scheme would offer graduates or students needing vital operational experience a fast-track approach to designated organisations offering placements. Personally I believe this should be taking place. Too many companies are wanting people with experience but how do get this if no one is prepared to employ you and it is not just the health and safety sector. What are your views on this?

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Mike I found it here: http://www.healthandsafe..._rung_of_the_ladder.htm. It appears to be based on an IOSH news release but it doesn't appear to be on our site yet. Paul

Posted By Pete48 The trouble with growing old is that the memory dims but remembers all sorts of stuff in a sort of time vacuum. I thought I remembered this from some time ago. The time line on the Hsfb news is 2005 Sorry peeps but it seems it didn't succeed, lack of uptake from employers most probable cause??
