Posted By biliath We have a situation here that our OH team have asked for help on which I hope people can help with. We have an individual who has been diagnosed with hearing loss in both ears (totally in 1 ear and partiallly in the other). He has been measured for hearing aids and will be available in due course. The person in question works on an extremely busy part of a motorway and needs to wear an ear piece for his radio. Once he has his hearing aids in place, the ear piece will not fit. Has anyone come across this issue before or can provide any suggestions or ideas. cheers

Posted By Chris Packham I have hearing aid inserts in both ears, so the in-ear type of speaker is not practical for me. Instead I use a headset with boom microphone and one earpiece, leaving the other ear completely free. I find this works extremely well for me as I can simply place the headset over the ear without interfering with the insert. Chris

Posted By FAH Hi Biliath I wouls suggest that you talk to the providers of hearing protection for activities such as being "airside" at an airport. The devices are moulded to fit the individual & normally contain a small radio receiver. Frank Hallett
