A company I work for is shortly starting a construction project in a very remote area of Scotland. What Regulations etc. cover men living on a construction site?

Put a mini fence around the living accommodation to segregate it; then its no longer living on a construction site
The RR[FS]O will apply and check the local planning etc regs. The employer may also become the landlord so landlord duties will apply

Agree with Bob's response segregation is paramount, also adequate welfare facilities e.g heating, water etc.
Lighting both internal and external.
Obviously the location of the portacabins need to be set out so the project does not impact on the facilities.
