Posted By Tumbleweed Good Evening, We are planning the demolition of a large mezzanine floor area. Setting aside the more standard issues of health and safety applicable to the workplace such as noise, dust, segregation of works, waste removal etc, can anyone advise on any of the more hidden risks to look out for and of the standard demolition control measures. If the floor is removed in stages, does it need it be checked by a structural engineer or other qualified persons to ensure that each stage is removed safely? If the mez area is fully segregated, are other persons permitted to work in the premesis adjacent to the works or are there strict legislation that the full site must be closed off to other persons and members of the public. I'm familiar with the CDM Regs and using these as a basis for the risk assessment. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Tumbleweed
