Posted By Dear2606 Hello everyone. I need to find a quality provider for NVQ 4. There are so many organisations out there that its difficult to determine which is best, so word of mouth might be idea. I want to find a provider that gives excellent support and assistance for me to complete the NVQ in as quick a time as possible. 4 names I have so far but don't know if any good are "bcs", "shields", "Safety Solutions" and my local college in Basingstoke. The emphasis for me is to find someone that gives good support, assistance and communication to aid my completion. I would really appreciate if someone could give me some feedback on this. Regards Sue

Posted By Caroline Wallis Hiya I completed both my NVQ level 4 and 5 with a company called British Safety Systems. My tutor was Rob Davis who was excellent. Whilst the company are based in Stafford, the NVQ they offer is via an online system which does away with all the paperwork, hence making completion of the NVQs a much quicker and easier process with just an initial visit from a tutor to set you up on the system and to show you how it works. Your work can then be viewed by them by logging onto your work area. I really cannot recommend them enough. Their details are www.business-safety.com tel no 08451 662030. Ask to speak to Rob and please remember me to him.

Posted By Antony McManus Hi, As with many previous posts, I can recommend SHE Knows, contact details supplied earlier. I have recommended this service to many since I did my NVQ 4 and they all offered the same feedback on the quality of service provided. Tony Mc

Posted By Dee The British Safety Council carry out NVQ Level 4 nationwide and have offer both a hard copy or electronic portfolio version, depending on what suits you best. Either way their is interaction with an assessor.

Posted By PA SHE knows gets my vote I know of a candidate that had paid in excess of 2K for the NVQ with one of the providers above, but due to their lack of support he paid to go with SHE Knows. I can provide his details for a reference should you require it Good luck with your enquiries and do take notice of all the good advice offered on this forum etc Do a search for support offered and received regarding NVQ's and look for the responses. it may be evident who and which companies go that extra mile by replying at 23.30 in the evening!! Also...if CFT offers an opinion it may be worth listening to... Regards Paul

Posted By Jean Hello Dear2605 As someone who holds a NVQ4, I would very strongly advise you to to make contact with persons who have been students with the provider. My husband worked in a college, and if it wasn't for him, I doubt whether I would have achieved the NVQ. As someone who has been buying into providers for other training recently for my organisation, I've been stunned that the same repetitive poor quality providers are being used. This is invariably because course participants say that they found the trainer to be satisfactory so as not to cause a fuss. This is your money, the NVQ is about evidence and it is important that you have the evidence before signing up to what could be a very expensive course. Regards Jean
